An installation exhibition with performances at SOMARTS Cultural Center, Main Gallery, November, 2001 San Francisco
Each component of the exhibition related visually and aesthetically to the others resulting in a cohesive presentation yet the intersection resulted in spontaneous degeneration of conventional viewing patterns. The exhibition components each uniquely encouraged audience participation including touching, kneeling, dancing and speaking. The entire space including ceilings, floor and walls was incorporated into the temple and transformed with imagery. Alkalis swirled around bases. Air, water, light, earth and fire mixed in the crucible of this temple to ignite the imagination and provide respite for the weary. Each congregant passed through an entrance of purification and prayer. A time of worship before the "Ether Alter" began a restoration to wholeness. The path continued before the "Altar for the-Ancestors of Light." Joining in the flowing movement of "Streaming" water, light and sound completed the preparation for the triptych sermons and responsive readings of "Geotron". Rubbing the eyes with "Solve Et Coagula" lifted the spirit ever higher towards ascension. Hymns were sung and dances danced.
